Passion, Purpose, and Direction®
These aren’t just words, as they offer clients a personally meaningful way forward, and a way through.
These words frame my work with my clients.
I have experience in working with a range of clinical concerns, including: depression, anxiety, trauma recovery, adjustment concerns, relationship concerns, career exploration, life planning and transitions, identity development and expression, character development, existential questions, intercultural and multicultural development, culture shock and re-entry culture shock, cross-cultural transitions, and more.
I have also completed the Mental Health Provider Diabetes Education Program, co-sponsored by the
American Diabetes Association and the American Psychological Association, and I assist persons with diabetes.
Below are general thematic areas in which I provide support, along with common questions and/or observations that might prompt exploration.
Clinical disorders/syndromes can all be expressed across the themes below.
I provide single session consultations as well as on-going counseling and psychotherapy.
My clients include adolescents, adults, career explorers, expatriates and cross-cultural sojourners. I work with individuals, couples, and groups.
Services I Do Not Provide
I do not work with clients mandated to receive treatment for any reason. I also generally will not provide any documentation to courts, attorneys, or any other entity that may require verification of therapy attendance or support for legal matters. If you want additional information about this, please see a more detailed explanation on Information and Services form. I do not provide documentation to support disability claims. Other than for personal/professional development, career exploration, and career/academic planning, I do not provide psychological testing/assessment services.
If I am unable to further assist a client, I will work with the client to make referrals to other providers who can offer further assistance.
