Can you imagine the reduction of personal stress when one is simply honest with oneself?
Magnify that reduction when one is honest with others. Can you imagine the abundance of energy that can be tapped, once things are overt? No more secrets. No more cover ups. No more dodges. No more lies. No more evasion. No more ego control. There is freedom in truth. There is energy and wisdom in authenticity. There is relief when things are in plain sight. There is clarity when one is humble and honest. This sort of openness and acceptance is not easy, and it will feel risky. To self and others: Be gentle. Be caring. Be mindful. Be open.

Counseling and psychotherapy are deeply personal exploration experiences. In a safe, confidential, unconditionally supportive, and trusting environment, clients explore personal and professional concerns, develop plans of action to move forward, and work through difficult challenges.
It takes courage to face issues, work through them, and (re)discover core aspects of oneself. It takes the sense of adventure, knowing not the outcome, but trusting the process. It takes creativity, honesty, insight, humor, compassion, and curiosity. It takes presence and the desire to change. It takes tolerance for ambiguity. And it takes you. Pain is inevitable; suffering is optional. (Pema Chödrön)
Try not "listening" or reacting to the ego and instead, recognize, validate and work through the pain. How would that be for you? |
